DESCRIPTION

The EI400LVAT housing has an integral low voltage transformer that supplies 12 volts to MR16 lamps. It can be used in ceilings where it will be in direct contact with insulation. The EI400LVAT is suited for use in insulated ceilings in residential and commercial applications.

Housing

Double wall aluminum construction for greater heat dissipation. EI400LVAT housing is gasketed to prevent airflow from heated or air conditioned spaces.

Plaster Frame

Inner housing adjusts in plaster frame for ceilings up to 1" thick. Includes locking screws for hanger bars and cutouts for crimping hanger bars in position.

Junction Box

U.L. listed for through branch circuit wiring. Positioned to accommodate straight conduit runs. Seven conduit knockouts are uniform 1/2" size with true pryout slots. Four “NM” cable pryouts with integral strain relief also included.

Bar Hangers

Pre-installed, captive bar hangers allow housing to be positioned at any point within a 24" joist span. Score lines provided for easy field shortening for 12" joists. Unique arrowhead design simplifies installation. Bar hangers can be repositioned 90°. Hangers fit onto T-bar spline for quick alignment and can be secured with optional TB7 T-Bar clip (set of four).

Transformer

120V integral magnetic transformer steps line voltage down to lamp operating voltage.

Thermal Protector

Self resetting thermal protector deactivates fixture if overheating occurs due to improper lamping.
