There are so many ways you can use your X10 Water Sensor. Prevent overflows and leaks in the basement, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, furnace or office. Filling up the tub but don't want to stand there and wait for it, put a water sensor in the tub and hear the alarm when it's time to get in the bath. Monitor the filling of your aquarium, sink, pool or hot tub. The X10 Water level detector also works as a great addition to your sump pump to warn you if there is water in the basement and your pump is not functioning properly.
The X10 Water Sensor (WD13A) works flawlessly with the X10 Security System (SC1200, DS7000 or PS561). Set your Water Sensor up down in the basement and when the water rises your siren will alert you immediately. You can even set it up to call you when you are away so that you can get home and avoid expensive water damage.
Note: Though the unit does detect water and uses the built in siren to alert you of it, this unit does require the SC1200 X10 Security Console to be able to call out as indicated above.
